Winona Ryder has signed up to star in new comedy film `Cheaters`
The 38-year-old actress will star alongside Vince Vaughn in the Ron Howard movie, which tells the tale of a friendship put under strain when Vaughn`s character sees his best friend`s wife with another man.
The movie will begin shooting in Chicago in the coming months and has a preliminary release date of 2011.
Winona`s film career has been quiet in recent years, although she did play the role of Spock`s mother in 2009 sci-fi action movie `Star Trek`.
She recently filmed the lead role in TV movie `When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story` - a film about the founder of charity Al-Anon - a support group for families of alcoholics.
This year she has two significant films coming out, including Darren Aronofsky`s `Black Swan` with Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, and thriller `Alpha Numeric`.
Winona quit acting for four years following her arrest for shoplifting in Beverley Hills department store Saks Fifth Avenue in 2001.
She was sentenced in December 2002 to 480 hours of community service, ordered to pay fines totalling $10,000 and was made to attend psychological and drugs counselling sessions.
